The Bank of Canada held rates this past announcement. Some gleams of sanity threaded among a landscape of Canadian economic madness. Back on March 2 my FB post took straight aim at the BOC:“Let me paint a picture for you. A few “old white men” who are padding their pensions in this country wield the kind power to bankrupt and deride honest hard-working Canadians from staying in or owning a slice of the Canadian dream. And who got rich? Not the Canadian home owners who have seen their property values drop. The old white men at the BOC continue to be employed earning huge salaries and huge pensions. I will lay out the plain and honest truth. The Big Banks, who own a monopoly on interest rates and banking in this country, that’s who. RBC earned 3.2 BILLION last quarter, that is 3 months of earnings for you non-Business folk. Three months!!! Where do they get that kind of power with little to no oversight. That’s a crime. From the Federal Government of this country, the people you and I elect.”

We can not stand idly by anymore and expect the media, the politicians, and “few old white men” to save us from ourselves. If you don’t act now, you may soon find yourself out of a job and out of money. Take a long hard look at the person in the mirror…. the tide of blame is shifting.
