As I begin to write part two, as coincidence (something I don’t believe in), or more to the point, fate would have it, a young twenty something year old wandered into my office and introduced himself. He said he but a minute of time until his public transportation arrived to whisk him off but wanted to inquire about “getting into real estate”. He said he was studying Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. I could not imagine a more perfect moment. It was like I was staring at a mirror of time and I had come full circle. Of all the businesses and all the gin joints and in all the world, it seemed that we had found the right steps. But, Oh my, where would we find the money, and how could I ever forgive myself if I failed? After all I would be spending “our money” not my money….that we did not have to begin with. I had one backer, one investor, and about 100 million naysayers. Deep Breath, time to jump…….
